CDTrack Rescue Editor's Review

It is summer and holiday time. Suppose that you are making a lot of photos and burn them on CD or DVD disc. Because of some unexpected reasons you cannot read it anymore. Well if you don't have holes in it you may have a chance to recover the data with CD Track Rescue.

Just insert the bad disc and the application will scan your disc. The whole content will be displayed in the main window. After this you can choose if you want to save the disc or to extract the data from a specified point. You can even preview the data in binary, text or image mode.

The interface is very simple to use so you don't need any special knowledges for it. Just choose the name of the recovered file and save the image.

CDTrack Rescue supports all the important discs including DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL and DVD-RAM. You can recover any type of data from damaged discs or from deleted CD-RW, DVD-RW or DVD+RW, DVD-RAM.

The disc should be written in ISO-9660, ISO-Joliet and UDF formats with any burning software that supports these formats.

Pluses: very easy to use

Drawbacks / flaws: The shareware version won't let you do any of the main operations so you won't be able to test it before you buy it.

In conclusion: A program with an eye candy interface that will help you to recover you lost data.
